Rashida Tlaib:
Hateful Rhetoric.
Views towards Israel
Pulling a bait-and-switch, Representative Tlaib reversed her previous position, and now supports a ‘one-state’ solution saying she would “absolutely” vote against military and all forms of foreign aid to Israel.
A “one-state” solution seeks to destroy Israel as the home of the Jewish people. In her first day in office she even renamed Israel to Palestine on the map in her congressional office.
Before the November 2018 election, J Street publicly rescinded their previous endorsement of Representative Rashida Tlaib.
While we have long championed the value of a wide range of voices in discussion of the conflict and related issues, we cannot endorse candidates who conclude that they can no longer publicly express unequivocal support for a two-state solution and other core principles to which our organization is dedicated.
J STREET WILL NOT ENDORSE CANDIDATES WHO DO NOT ENDORSE A TWO-STATE SOLUTION, https://jstreet.org/press-releases/j-street-will-not-endorse-candidates-who-do-not-endorse-a-two-state-solution/
Connections to Anti-Israel Activists
Days before being sworn in as a U.S. Congresswomen, Rashida Tlaib met with anti-Israel activist Abbas Hamideh
Abbas Hamideh heads a ‘right-to-return’ advocacy group that seeks to remove Israel’s status as a Jewish state. He is one of the most outspoken backers of the BDS movement that seeks to delegitimize and destroy the state of Israel and uses the anti-Semitic dog whistle that Israel is a racist state that violates human rights.
Abbas Hamideh is only one of many anti-Israel, anti-Semitic terrorist supporters that Rashida Tlaib openly associates with.
